WORK INFO

Living Artfully

Developer Mount Vernon and creative agency Visual Dialogue sought to create a remarkable new property set in the energetic neighborhood of Allston. Understanding that design plays an important role in choosing a home, we helped bring their vision of a refined artist loft to life. Installations of local art and relaxed, casual gathering places merge to create an engaging experience throughout. The result is a design-driven space that captures the neighborhood’s creative spirit and gives elevated meaning for those who call this building ‘home’. Beyond the design, the commitment to art and artists includes reserving a number of affordable units for working artists and a ground-floor gallery space for the non-profit Unbound Visual Arts.

Residents working from home have the option to occupy a private pod, spread out in the study, or relax in lounge seating. The variety of seating groups offers flexibility for different work styles, and for socializing when their workday is done.

A sculptural installation of custom-made paint cans crafted by local artist Andrew Bablo pays homage to the creative process, while becoming an art feature all on their own.
